Landscape AD6802

Transcript notes field lectures:

Waders, White fronted geese and bewick swans. Both scarce winteer visitors.

Manx shearwater gannets.

Guilimots, razorbills, little auks, some sightings of puffins.

Rest point for many migrating birds to both the south and north.

The severn cost also offers safety for migrating fish who spend a small part of their live at the river opening before going up river to mate and spawn. Atlantic salmon, seatrout, allis shad, twaite shad, sea lampray and river lampray.

Although all have seen a big decline in population in both the sea and the rivers as well as over fishing. structures have also played a part in the past and structures like weirs still blocking some migrating fishes ways.

Estuary's and draining canals, as well as water being pumped from the severn to go to both bristol and Gloucester cities.

The otter currently endangered to to pollution and the can both be found on the salt marshes and on the banks of the severn.

I would best shoot this land on 5x4 on large format to get a shot of the expanse of the are and the habitat with which these animals live. I would then use medium format with a large lens, probably a Pentax 67 with HP5 and a 600mm f5.6.
